Managing Partner & Founder
As Managing Partner and Founder of Zappettini Capital, John contributes to all aspects of our business managing our real estate portfolio while also actively involved in capital raising, acquisitions and development. John chairs our Investment Committee.
John has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, private equity and commercial real estate industries. He has led or advised on over $1 billion of transactions in the United States and Europe.
John earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
As Managing Partner of Zappettini Capital, Kate leads all aspects of executing on the firm’s real estate investment strategy. She is responsible for the transaction oversight of acquisitions, developments, capital raising, debt financing and asset management activities. Kate is a member of our Investment Committee.
Kate was previously at North Point Advisors, a boutique investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions. She has experience in multi-family residential repositioning and development, project management, marketing, and corporate finance.
Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of San Francisco.
William A. (Bill) Zappettini, Jr.
Bill spent his career working in the flower business for over 50 years. He served in various positions including President of the national wholesale florist company William Zappettini Company started by his father.
Later in the mid 1980’s, he founded the local SF Brannan Street Wholesale Florist which became the largest wholesaler at the San Francisco Flower Mart. In the 1980’s Bill received local notoriety as the KCBS Flower Man thorough a regular radio program reporting live from the Flower Mart. Throughout his career, Bill served on many industry boards and has been active with the family’s real estate portfolio of investments including the development of properties in San Francisco. Bill is a member of our Investment Committee.
Bill is a long time native of San Francisco and the Bay Area, and he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
